Pop Crochet: Star Wars, Part 1

Phew! Finally finished with a big part of the backlog, and can now focused on making new dolls!

Initially, someone asked me to make a Yoda doll from the Star Wars, in lieu of the fact that Clone Wars is hitting theaters fairly soon. I wound up having so much fun making Yoda that I decided I ought to finish up most of thecast and make as many characters as I possibly could as well!

So – here’s my take on Yoda, and Leia Organa to date. All are currently for sale at my deadcraft shop!

Leia Organa. I love love LOVED making her little bun, because I found it absolutely adorable on her.

And just because this is rather iconic, have also added in a slave girl version for Leia Organa! I realize that the actual slavegirl outfit didn’t have Carrie Fisher with her traditional buns, but I figured people can make the conclusion thatshe’s Leia better if she had them.

And then finally, we have Yoda! Since its a little difficult to add creases to depict his age, I opted not to. Hey – Yoda’s young once upon a time too!

Other dolls I have half-finished, and should be getting up this week or next week: Han Solo, random Siths, random jedis, Obiwan Kenobi – and once I figure how to make his mask, even a little Darth Vader. Yay!
