Bert the Hippopotamus doll! (based on NCIS’ Bert)

A diehard NCIS fan asked me to make a Bert doll for her along with some other NCIS dolls that she had ordered from I was initially felt really hinky, trying to see how closely I could resemble the actual farting hippo doll (the actual plush is of mainly loose skin, while crochet in general is wound up pretty tight) but I think I got the general shape of it intact, and some people seem to recognize it immediately.

Unfortunately, this particular hippo does not cause similar farting sounds. I DID make a cursory look around shops to see if they had some similar device I could add into the doll, but no such luck.
